MuMoK Vienna

I also paid a visit to the MuMoK in Vienna and because of my current mental constitution I am not going to judge any piece of art or any exhibition there but in one way: It's fun to take photos there. Unfortunately I just had my cell phone cam, but anyway:

Centre Pompidou-Metz

I also paid a visit to the Centre Pompidou-Metz, which is worth quite a look:

We didn't have much time to spend in it because we would not stand one hour in queue to get in and therefore arrived just about 1.5h before closing time. But it was enough to get an insight and I would say it seemed like the perfect playground for ambitious curators.

A few more impressions from the outside:

Leave your comfort, go to an art gallery

paintranche.com writes it's an ad campaign for Siemens Art by McCann Erickson and I haven't had the mind or the time to revise that yet, so I just leave that standing here.

Anyway, great advertisement!

I have also seen this in Bratislava

How they call "Eskimo" (or whatever name you may know it under) in Slovakia, a "Complex ticket service", colorful roofs and fake windows and one sugar-iced-fairy-tale-castle like church.

The unshaven top hats have run amok

The unshaven top hats have run amok by Marc Johns
2010
Ink and watercolour on paper
8x10"

I don't remember if I featured Marc Johns here already, but even though it wouldn't matter, because he'd deserved it another time too.

Jean-Luc Cornec

...that's the name of the guy who made these sheep out of rotary telephones for the Museum of Telecommunication in Frankfurt (dreadful website). Because I will spare you a visit to his own website (even worse) I advise you to use Google instead for more images.

"Landscapes of Future"

Was ich ja schon lange hier posten wollte - aber man kommt ja zu nichts mehr... - sind Pavel Peppersteins Landscapes of Future, beziehungsweise dieses eine Bild hier, das ich besonders opulent finde, The Monument of The Yellow Colour. Kamchatka. 4307.

Three things

...to post, that doesn't fit on Twitter, so here:

1

© 2009 Marc Johns. All Rights Reserved.

Alright, Marc Johns is just as awesome as usual, but now, as he is starting to get into art-theoretical problems, I really have to mention him.

2

...one of the #picturesilike

3

The current exhibition at Albertina about Impressionism is worth mentioning it here. Capisce?

help

It's pretty easy: Click on a topic (that's the white words in the blue squares) to open the respective article and re-click the topic, to close it again.

Now with the red squares it's pretty much the same—click to open, click to close.

If you open "archive" or "tags" and click on a date or a tag, you'll find a filter applied (in a pink box) which you can remove by clicking—as we are accustomed to—on the 'x' in the upper right.

Allright, everything else shoud be even more self-explaining.

ATTENTION: If you don't see no thing on the left side, that means no blue squares and somesuch, it may be up to your browser (if you use Internet Explorer older than version 8 it definitely is). You can visit a more basic version of the page, that should work here.

Works good with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and more or less with Internet Explorer 8.
